Moving between dreams, desire, dance and defiance, this year’s Music Video programme showcases the raw and inventive ways that filmmakers tell stories both intimate and epic. From pulsating hand-painted animation to mind-blowing spectacle, these videos transform songs into vivid visual worlds and bend cinematic language into something entirely its own.

As a couple quietly pack up their shared home, familiar rituals become poignant reminders of a life together, capturing the bittersweet space between leaving somewhere behind and beginning anew.

ALICE PHOEBE LOU - MIND READER

Filmed in infrared black and white, a group of boys roam their snowy Canadian hometown, pulling pranks and getting into trouble in a bittersweet portrait of adolescence, friendship and the messy uncertainty of growing up.

CHUCK STRANGERS - EVERYDAY & G PACK
Dir: Broken Antenna

Two crime stories race forward with raw, low-tech energy, shifting perspectives between an immigrant couple dreaming of a better life and the police whose actions bring chaos crashing into suburbia.
